Deposit Payment Scheme

A Housing Authority scheme financing the interest on a loan covering a first-time buyer's 10% promise-of-sale deposit, for properties up to €225,000.

The Deposit Payment Scheme helps first-time buyers who qualify for a home loan but can’t cover the konvenju deposit upfront. For properties up to €225,000, the Housing Authority finances the interest on a loan covering the 10% deposit over 25 years, while the buyer pays the monthly instalment on the underlying personal loan.

See Stamp Duty & Buying Costs for this alongside Malta’s other first-time buyer schemes.
