The Housing Authority is Malta’s public body administering housing support schemes, including the Deposit Payment Scheme for first-time buyers and social/affordable housing programmes. It also registers qualifying leases for schemes such as the Malta Permanent Residence Programme, and is where landlords must register long-term residential leases - see Renting Out Property in Malta.
